A quick reference for agents, property managers, architects and interior designers reviewing a consistently scaled drawing.

  1. Open the plan.

    Use a flat PDF, JPG or PNG. Perspective photos, stretched scans and “not to scale” plans cannot give reliable measurements.

  2. Set and check the scale.

    Click both ends of a dimension you know and enter its real length. Check another labelled span, ideally in the other direction. Never guess a door or furniture size.

  3. Trace and download.

    Click the corners in order, finish the room and rename it. Use the results for preliminary layout or renovation planning; verify before purchasing or publishing.

How do I measure a floor plan to scale?

Open the plan, click both ends of a dimension you know, such as a labelled wall, and type its real length. Every measurement after that uses the same scale.

Can I measure a PDF floor plan?

Yes. Open a PDF with up to 100 pages, choose the page and set its scale. Each page keeps its own scale and measurements.

How accurate is it?

As accurate as the drawing and the dimension you calibrate with. Plans that are not drawn to scale, or images that have been stretched, will give wrong results. Treat it as an estimate and check anything important on site.

Is it accurate enough for a property listing or appraisal?

Do not treat it as a certified survey, valuation or official gross living area. For published listing areas, leases, legal documents or construction decisions, use independently verified measurements and the applicable professional standard.

Is my plan uploaded?

No. The plan opens and is measured in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server, and your work is held in this tab until you download it.

Can I use it on a phone?

Yes, the controls work with touch. A larger screen and mouse make precise corner placement easier. Zoom in for detail and switch to Move plan to drag the drawing.
